Angie YoungI am a graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee in 2005 with a Bdes (hon) Jewellery & Metal Design winning the Goldsmiths Precious Metal Bursary prize for my long wrap neckpiece. Since then I have been building my business, concentrating on developing and promoting my work as well as expanding my outlets and participating in various exhibitions. The inspiration for allot of my work originates in natural materials, textures and forms, I have combined this with my training in jewellery and metal design and love of silver tableware to produce a wide range of jewellery & tableware, such as a range of table pieces that combine silver and willow, and a collection of wearable silver & willow bracelets, also a collection of jewellery using silver cast willow and semi-precious stones. Other collections include: Silver & Gold Wirework Collection, hand knotted silver and gold wire made into bowls and a wide range of jewellery. Hammered Silver Collection, which includes a full range of jewellery for women and men and is made up of a few smaller collections. My most recent hammered silver collection is Black Pearl & Hearts; which uses various hammered heart styles with black pearls, linked simply in drop earrings and pendants as well as linked with multiple strands of silver chain to create a variety of neck pieces, bracelets & earrings. One of my other newer collections is the Gold Leaf Collection, domed silver with a 24ct gold leaf center put together in a variety of ways. Botanics is my most recent collection new to 2011, this was developed from images of plant life taken at Edinburgh Botanic Gardens and The Eden Project. Each of the above collections are continually growing and changing with new designs being added regularly.
